Sri Padha is a sacred mountain in Sri Lanka which is famous for pilgrimage. Famous traveler Iban Batuta mention in his travel records that he visited Sri Padha in 1344.The mountain is visible to the Indian ocean closer to Colombo. Pilgrimage season starts with the full moon of December and continued up to full moon of next year April. It’s a part of “Central Highlands” which classified under UNESCO natural heritage. There are 3 routes connecting to the top. Our journey started from “Sri Palabathgala” and descended from “Nallatanniya” route.
