Kerawalapitiya waste management park is one of the prime locations to observe the winter migratory birds situated in the western province of Sri Lanka. Bird watchers / travelers who make a stop over at Colombo or Negambo, can easily access the location. During our recent birding tour ( Jan 2026) We have observed large number of migratory birds consisted of Wagtails , shorebirds, Bee-eaters , Rosy starlings at the location.
